Liberty Open Championship

Description: The Annual Liberty Open welcomes Muni members to compete against one another for the Champion title. Low scores will be posted every Monday morning for one week in early September. The top 15 scores from this time period will then go on to compete against the previous year’s Champion in the final tournament.
 
We will take the top 15 scores from this time period and the 2019 Champion. The low scores will be posted every Monday morning. If scores are tied for the 15th lowest scored, we will take the scores that were posted first. 
 
 The final 16 will meet on Saturday, September 26 at 9:00 AM. Two rounds of golf will be played to determine the winner. If there is a tie, we will have a sudden death playoff starting from hole 1. 
 
 Rules of the Tournament

  • You have to sign up with the golf attendant and pay your greens fees.
  • You have to play with another person who will verify your scooter and sign your card. The date must be on the card
  • Each hole has to be putted out.
  • You cannot touch the ball in the fairways, roughs or traps.
  • If your ball plugs because of soft turf due to rain, you can pick up your ball, clean it and take a drop.
  • The scores go to the person who posted the score first. 



Victor H. Picozzi Memorial Senior Tournament

The Victor Picozzi Senior Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, September 14th between the hours of 8:00 and 11:00 AM at the Summit Municipal Golf Course.

We will be running it a bit different this year but this annual tradition continues on. Senior members are invited to play two rounds of golf free of charge. Once you have completed your rounds, submit your score card to the Gate Attendant. No sign up necessary.
 

Winners will be contacted by phone after scores have been tabulated. Course will be closed to all other members during the tournament. We ask that you practice social distancing and wear a mask when not on the course. Questions? Contact the DCP at 908-277-2932.



Women’s Tournament

Ladies only! Every June, ladies (ages 18+) are invited to this fun annual scramble led by golf professional, Bill McCluney. Must be a current Muni member to attend. Guests are welcome.


Youth Golf Tournament

2023 Date TBA

The Annual Youth Golf Tournament welcomes all Summit residents and Muni members, ages 8 – 15 to participate. All participants receive a tournament t-shirt. Prizes are awarded to the lowest score of each age group. Learn more or sign-up here!
