Looking for something to do?

Does being quarantined at home have you feeling lazy? Looking for ways to stay active during these times where everyone is affected by COVID-19? The Summit Department of Community Programs has teamed up with many local fitness studios to offer FREE fitness classes on The Summit Department of Community Programs Facebook page through Facebook Live. 

This campaign will launch on Monday, May 4, 2020. We also ask that while taking your favorite class to please send us a selfie of you taking the class, or post it on your social media using #SummitStaysFIt and tell us why you loved the class so much, which will be shared to our social media pages. At the end of the campaign, we will select a winner at random to win a gift certificate to the studio of their choice.

Monday, May 4 - Project Physique at 9:45 AM

A high energy combo of ballet/barre techniques, mat Pilates, cardio blasts & yoga that are essential for balancing both mind and body in one efficient and effective class

Tuesday, May 5 - Crossfit Veracity at 7:00 PM

CrossFit is a thoughtful approach to health and wellness that focuses on both nutrition and fitness equally. Every day provides a new, different style of workout and class participants are coached on the mechanics of movement, getting those mechanics consistent, and then finally adding some intensity when it is safe to do so.

Wednesday, May 6 - Managed Fitness at 11:00 AM

Managed Fitness combines classic Barre exercise with safe and effective Mat Pilates exercises. As Barre and Mat Pilates complement each other; it is the best of both modalities. This format is designed to stretch and strengthen muscles without adding bulk. This is a full body workout focused on building core strength, improving posture and spine health while sculpting and toning your body. Weights are optional between 2-4 pounds.

Thursday, May 7 - Zumbini with Allie: Children’s Music and Movement Class at 9:00 AM

Children Ages 0-5 welcome!! Zumbini is where the music of Zumba meets Magic for little ones. Get ready to Sing and Dance and be Silly in this modern music and movement class. Parents welcome too for extra fun!!

Friday, May 8 - Yoga with Francoise at 5:00 PM

With 600 yoga training, my yoga style starts with breathing and holding breath to obtain heat. Once we have heated the internal self, we move with purpose to open mind, body, and soul. You will leave feeling much more available and great.

Friday, May 8 - Wellness Studio M at 10:00 AM

Cardio Conditioning all levels are welcome. This is 45 minute workout starting wiht warm up then 25 minutes of body weight movements (we may use light dumbbells), core exercises and we will complete wiht cool down and stretch.

A next-level cross-training workout designed to achieve measurable results both physically and mentally.   This workout is designed for all levels and will combine High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Functional Movements, Calisthenics and Animal Flow.  Grab your weights if you have them.

Sunday, May 10 - Family Fitness and Fun at 9:00 AM

This class will help you to keep the faith and have fun with the family while taking a cardio fit dance class that is appropriate for all ages!

Zumba, a Latin-based Dance Fitness class, combines all the best qualitites of having fun while getting fit!  Get ready to sweat, smile and enjoy a full body workout as Victoria leads you through a series of danced-based moves backed by exciting and vibrant music!

Wednesday, May 13 - K2 Fitness at 7:00 AM

A Functional Strength and Movement workout designed tone your body while increasing your mobility.  By adding function and flow to traditional compound movements such as squat press and warrior lunges, we will have you ready to attack your day. Grab your weights if you have them to increase intensity.

Monday, May 18 - Wellness Studio M

Total Body Strength Training. All levels are welcome. This is 45 minute workout starting wiht warm up then 9 execises mix of upper and lower body, core exercises and we will complete with cool down and stretch.  

Tuesday, May 19 - Body Weight Cardio/Sculpt Interval with the Connection

No equiptment will be needed for this Cardio and Sculpt class designed to tone every area of the body.  Blending Tabata elements (8 rounds/20 secs of work with 10 secs rest in between) with longer sets of core and body work, this class allows each participant to work at their fitness level!  Body weight work is a very effective way to tone the body from head to toe!
