What are the current fees to join the pool?: The current fees to join the pool: Family - $395/$790 non-resident, Individual - $160/$320 non-resident, Senior Citizen - $70/$320 non-resident, and Associate - $160.

Family Aquatic Center

1. Who can join the Family Aquatic Center?: Residents and a limited number of non-residents are welcome to join the SFAC. Resident rates are limited to Summit residents, taxpayers, Summit business owners and lessees, City of Summit employees, Summit Board of Education current and retired employees, and active Summit First Aid Squad members, and their immediate families.

2. What are the current fees to join the pool?: The current fees to join the pool: Family - $395/$790 non-resident, Individual - $160/$320 non-resident, Senior Citizen - $70/$320 non-resident, and Associate - $160.

3. What types of membership are offered with the SFAC?: The SFAC currently offers Family, Individual (ages 2+), and Senior (62+), memberships. Nannies/babysitters (16+) ) may be added onto any valid Summit resident membership as an Associate. Limit one associate per membership.

4. Do you offer half-season rates for the pool?: Yes. After August 1, all memberships are one-half their applicable rate. Half-season memberships may be purchased at any time. Please note that your ID card will not be activated until after August 1.

5. Can our nanny or babysitter be added onto our *Summit resident SFAC membership?: Yes. The Associate Membership may be added onto any valid Summit resident SFAC Membership. This membership is only open to nannies or babysitters ages 16+ for a fee of $160 for the season. Associate Members may only access the facility Monday through Friday and will not have guest privileges. Limit one Associate Membership add-on per Summit resident SFAC Membership.
Please note: Nannies or babysitters who live in Summit may purchase their own SFAC Individual Membership for $160 to have full access to the facility as well as guest privileges. Nannies or babysitters who do not live in Summit will have to purchase the non-resident SFAC Individual Membership for $320 in order to have full access and guest privileges.

6. Can I add a nanny or caregiver onto my non-resident family membership?: No. Non-resident nannies or caregivers may join the SFAC at non-resident individual rates, $320 for the season. We do not offer associate membership add-ons for non-resident families.

7. I want to join the SFAC as a new member. Is proof of residency required?: Yes. Proof of residency is required when joining the SFAC for the first time in order to receive resident rates. Please provide at least one document or photo ID as proof of residency (ex. license, recent utility bill).

8. What is the SFAC's guest policy?: Members are allowed to bring up to 4 guests per membership when bather load is not at capacity. Management is authorized to limit guest privileges as needed to ensure safe and proper use of the facility.

Members under the age of 11 may not bring guests or enter the pool without adult supervision. Members ages 11 - 16 may only bring guests ages 11+. Members ages 17+ may bring guests of all ages.

9. What are the guest fees?: During the week: Adults - $9, Children/Seniors - $7. Weekends and holidays: Adults - $10, Children/Seniors - $8.

10. Does the SFAC offer day passes for non-members?: No. The SFAC does not offer day passes. You must come as a guest of a current member in order to gain entrance to the facility. Members please note, you are responsible for any guest you bring into the facility.

11. How old do I have to be to enter the pool without adult supervision?: Any member age 11+ may enter the SFAC without adult supervision.

12. What are the hours of operation for the SFAC?: On weekdays, the pool will open from 12 Noon - 8 PM. On weekends and holidays, the pool will open from 11 AM - 8 PM. Towards the end of the season, the pool will begin closing earlier.
Please note, lap swim and other programs may take place before the SFAC opens.

13. When does the SFAC open and close for the season?: The SFAC is open from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.

14. What is the weather cancellation policy at the SFAC?: Upon hearing or seeing lightening or thunder, the SFAC management and lifeguard team will clear the pool and the deck for one half hour. All guests will be asked to take shelter in the entryway. The pool and deck will be kept clear for one half hour every time lightening or thunder is detected in the area. If inclement weather conditions continue, the facility may close for the day.

During inclement weather conditions, we recommend calling the facility ahead of time at 908-273-6777.

15. Where can I find a listing of programs offered at the SFAC?: The SFAC offers a variety of programs for all ages including kayaking, paddleboarding, swim team, and swim school. View all current programs for the 2016 season at the SFAC.

16. Does the SFAC offer any free programs?: Yes. Several offered programs including yoga, aquacise, and parent/child early swim are free to SFAC members. View all current programs for the 2016 season at the SFAC.

17. Is there a lap swim schedule for the SFAC?: Yes. Lap swimming is available Monday through Friday lengthwise (50 meters) from 6:30 - 8:30 AM and width-wise (25 meters) from 9:00 - 10:00 AM and from 6:00 PM - closing.

18. Where can I find out about employment opportunities at the SFAC?: The SFAC is always in need of trained and certified lifeguards, slide attendants, maintenance workers, and snack shack concessionaires. View all current employment opportunities with the DCP.

19. Are life jackets available at the SFAC?: Yes. US Coast Guard Approved life jackets are available for use at no cost in the SFAC entryway. Please return all life jackets to the entryway before leaving the facility.

20. Does the SFAC offer private swim lessons?: Yes. Coupons for private swim lessons may be purchased at either the SFAC front gate or at the Community Center for $30 per half hour lesson. SFAC members may then select the instructor of their choice from the list of approved instructors which will be held at the SFAC front gate. Dates and times for swim lessons will be worked out between the SFAC member and the chosen instructor.

21. Can my child have toys in the leisure pool?: Yes, with the exception of flotation devices, water guns, and other potentially hazardous toys. Our lifeguards and management staff reserve the right to prohibit toys from entering the leisure pool if they pose a threat to the safety of other patrons.

22. Can I bring a float to the pool?: Flotation devices are prohibited at all times during general swim hours with the exception of Float Night events. Every Thursday night from 6 PM until closing, members and their paid guests are welcome to enjoy their floats in the main pool, only.

23. Can I bring my own food to the pool?: Yes. We do however ask that you eat all food in the food court located near Sharkey's Snack Shack. Please help us keep the facility clean by disposing of all garbage. As a reminder, glass containers, alcoholic beverages, smoking and gum chewing are all prohibited at the SFAC.

24. Can I have food delivered to the pool?: No. In fairness to Sharkey's Snack Shack, we will not allow food deliveries from local establishments to enter the facility.
