1. How do I register for programs?

Registration is available 24/7 with our online registration system, Community Pass. Click "Register" to be redirected to Community Pass. For registration assistance, stop into the Community Center at 100 Morris Avenue, or call us at 908-277-2932.

2. Do I need to set up an account with Community Pass in order to register for programs and facilities?

Yes. Click "Register" to be redirected to Community Pass. Once on the Community Pass homepage, click "Create and Account" and continue to follow all of the prompts until all family members are included in your account.

3. Do I have to be a Summit resident to create an account with Summit's Community Pass?

No. Many of our programs welcome residents and non-residents. We also welcome a limited number of non-residents to our Municipal Golf Course and Family Aquatic Center.

4. I already have a Community Pass account with a different community. Do I need to create a new account with Summit?

No. If you already have a Community Pass account with a different community or organization, use your existing username and password to log in and register for programs offered with the Summit DCP.

5. I forgot my username or password. Now What?

Do not create a new account. Simply click "Forgot Password" under the login section in Community Pass and a temporary password will be emailed to the primary address on file. If you are still experiencing difficulty logging in, contact the DCP at 908-277-2932.

6. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Registrations must be cancelled prior to the program start date in order to receive a full refund. Once a program has begun, registrations may only be cancelled for a full refund with a doctor's note. Pool and golf memberships may be cancelled for a full refund prior to opening day. Once the season has begun, registrations may not be cancelled.

To cancel a registration, contact the DCP at 908-277-2932.

7. What types of payment are accepted by the DCP

The DCP accepts cash payment as well as Visa and MasterCard. Checks can also be made out to the City of Summit.

8. How do I delete duplicate accounts within Community Pass?

Duplicate accounts with different towns (ex. Summit and Chatham) will need to be merged to avoid potential issues when registering.

Log into Community Pass and click "Update Account Information" located underneath the "My Account" tab in the top navigation.

In the left-hand navigation, click "Family Merge."

Enter login and password information for the duplicate account. Please note this account will be merged into the account you initially logged into. Click "Continue."

Merge the individuals on the left with an individual in your existing Community Pass account. Click "Finish."

Please note, duplicate accounts within Summit will need to be merged by a DCP staff member. Please contact the office at 908-277-2932.

9. I missed the registration deadline. Can I still register?

Yes. You will be placed onto a waitlist and may be entered into the selected program if spaces become available. There is no guarantee that you will be pulled off of the waitlist and entered into the program once the registration deadline has passed.

10. How do I apply for financial assistance when registering for a program or facility?

Financial assistance may be available for DCP programs and facilities based on information from the Federal Free and Reduced Lunch Program. If your child is enrolled in this program, please provide the necessary paperwork (obtained at the Board of Education, 14 Beekman Terrace), in-person to the DCP. Once reviewed, a member of the DCP staff will assist with your registration at the reduced rate. Only one subsidized program per child, per season.

11. I can't find the program I'm looking for in Community Pass. What's going on?

You may not be eligible to register for the requested program (ex. programs with the SFAC may require SFAC membership). If you feel you are eligible to register and are still experiencing problems with your registration, call the DCP at 908-277-2932.
