Fitness & Wellness Senior Programs

All programs run throughout the academic school year and are included in the price of your Summit Senior Club Membership. Summit residents are welcome to join for just $10/year. Non-residents welcome. Learn more about the Summit Senior Club here.

Gentle Yoga

Focus on mind, body, spirit through breathing techniques and guided imagery. Positions may be modified if needed. 

Mondays & Fridays

    • Mondays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM
    • Fridays from 9:30 – 10:30 AM


Enjoy some friendly competition while mastering the oldest known sport in world history. Play with the group on the listed dates or enjoy the court with family and friends. The court is open for play daily. Bocce balls will only be provided through the DCP between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM during the week.

Dance to Be Fit/Line Dancing

This low-impact program helps to improve balance, memory, and flexibility.

T’ai Chi

Increased overall health and better stress management have been attributed to practicing T’ai Chi.

Canasta is one of the most popular card games in the United States. It combines luck of the draw, skill and diverse strategies. It is challenging and affords a great social experience as the game is typically played with four people. Playing the game usually requires 2-4 hours as each game has multiple hands or rounds. If you are interested in playing Canasta, feel free to join us in the Benson Room each week.

Mahjong is a game that originated in China and was imported into the US in the 1920's. Similar to the card game Rummy, Mahjong is a game of skill, strategy, calculation and involve a degree of chance using a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Bring your own foursome or come by yourself each Thursday at 10:00am.

Need a ride? The Senior Connections Bus runs on a set schedule throughout the week. To request a pickup, please call 908-273-0088 and leave a message before 8:15 AM. The bus only runs Monday through Friday.
