Summit Seniors Club

Residents of Summit, ages 62+, are eligible to register with the Summit Seniors Club for $25 per year. Non-residents are eligible to register for a fee of $50 per year. The Summit Seniors Club entitles members to all programs at no additional cost.


Seniors may also register for the Open Gym Senior Membership for an additional $25. This membership entitles seniors to participate in all of the activities offered after 3:00 PM in the Gyms listed on the Open Gym page, including pickleball, badminton, basketball, t’ai chi, and more.

All programs run throughout the academic school year and are included in the price of your Summit Senior Club Membership.

Mah Jongg/Cards

Drop in Daily from 8:30-5:30 PM

Feel free to come and play in the Senior Card room any time the Community Center is open. Free play, not instructional. No reservations needed. All participants must have a Senior Club membership.

Canasta

Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 AM

Canasta has been added to our weekly schedule on Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the Senior Lounge. Basic knowledge is helpful, but the others are willing to help teach.

While the scheduled times are listed above, drop in whenever you would like in the brand new Senior Card Room! The room is open for the sole use by seniors during normal Community Center hours.

Gentle Chair Yoga

Mondays at 9:30 AM

Gentle Chair Yoga is held on Mondays & Fridays at 9:30 AM in the Guida Gym. Chair yoga is perfect for those with mobility issues or anyone looking for a low-impact workout with our instructor, Bridget Briant.

T'ai Chi

Wednesdays at 10:00 AM

T’ai Chi is held on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM in the Guida Gym. Learn to relax and de-stress using the gentle motions of T’ai Chi with instructor Ayriel Germanton. Many health benefits have been attributed to this ancient practice.

Shape Up with Liz

Tuesdays at 1:00 PM

Thursdays at 1:00 PM

Shape Up with Liz Cinnamon is held each Tuesday & Thursday at 1:00 PM in Investors Gym. This fitness class focuses on maintaining a healthy lifestyle by improving your strength, flexibility, endurance, and balance in a fun way.

Line Dancing

Mondays at 11:45 AM

Line Dancing is held Mondays at 11:45 AM in the Guida Gym with instructor Sari Levine. A recent study out of the National Institute of Health found that line dancing is a wonderful form of exercise for seniors who want to work out and have fun at the same time. Come join us!

Pickleball

Either Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

OR Wednesdays & Fridays from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Pickleball is held 4 days per week; however, due to the increased popularity and limited time & space for pickleball, you can play EITHER Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM OR Wednesday & Friday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Walking Club

Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM

Walking Club is held Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM in the Investors Gym. There are many health benefits of walking, such as lowering your blood sugar, reducing stress, and improving your sleep. Walking can also reduce your risk for coronary heart disease. No need to sign up, just show up!

Cardio, Sculpt & Balance

Fridays at 11:00 AM

Cardio, Sculpt & Balance is held each Friday at 11:00 AM in the Guida Gym. With a combination of cardiovascular, balance, and toning exercises, instructor Sangeeta Benbow will guide you through this 45-minute class.
